frequently Asked Questions
Questions About Exterior Cleaning
How do you price your services?
Our pricing is based off a number of factors. Such as the square footage of the surface we’ll be cleaning, location of the targeted area and ease of access. We offer different package options to fit any budget and never start a job without giving you the final price.
We provide quotes within minutes and offer packages that fit any budget. Virtual quotes are also available.
Is your soft wash solution harmful to my plants?
No. The softwash solution we use is carefully mixed to avoid any damage to the surrounding vegetation.
We do include sodium hypochlorite (bleach) in our solutions because it is highly effective against algae, moss, bacteria and other unwanted organic growth. Not to worry! The percentage is so low that it will not cause harm to your plants. Just as an extra percussion, we spray down surrounding vegetation before and after applying our soft wash solution in order to dilute the bleach.
After the bleach has perform it’s job, it is no longer a threat.
Is pressure washing bad for my roof?
Oh yes!
Not only will high pressure water degrade the asphalt material and granules of a shingle, you risk water traveling underneath your shingles. This typically leads to water damage and leaks. Factors that your shingles were engineered to fight against.
How do you clean my roof?
Before applying our soft wash solution, we make sure any debris is removed from your roof. Next, we’ll lightly brush away moss or pine needles, leaving an empty canvas for our soft wash solution to do it’s job.
We then apply our soft wash solution to your roof while paying extra attention to any thickly settled organic growth and/or bacteria. After the solution has settled for 30 minutes, we rinse your roof with light water pressure.
If any problem areas still exist, we’ll specifically target those spots with a second or third coat. Each roof cleaning begins and ends with spraying down surrounding plant life to ensure your landscape remains healthy.
How often should I wash my roof?
We recommend cleaning your roof every 3 to 4 years.
In between cleanings, we do offer preventative maintenance plans performed annually. This involves us applying an environmentally safe zinc powder to your roof’s peaks. During the next rainfall, the powder will begin to travel down, cover your entire roof and kill any organic growth before it spreads.
How often should I clean my gutters?
We recommend you clean your gutters at least once a year. Primarily in the fall once a majority of the leaves have fallen.
If you are a homeowner in an area surrounded by trees, so strongly recommend an additional cleaning in the spring. late fall and winter storms turn up extra debris that find their way on your roof and in your gutters. That extra cleaning come spring will prevent any unnecessary buildup and clogging.
How often should I wash the exterior of my home?
This greatly varies.
For most homes, we recommend every few years. Other homes may require a yearly cleaning if they are located in a thickly settled area and get minimal exposure to the sun.
How do you wash the exterior of my home?
We begin by preparing the targeted area with light pressure water. Then, we spray our soft wash solution and let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes. After the solution has worked it’s magic, we again rinse with light pressure water to expose a clean finish.
If any problem areas still exist, we repeat this process until the outcome is satisfactory.
